Belarus May Cancel Cigarette Import Monopoly

Belarus is considering cancelling the state’s exclusive right to import fish, alcohol, and tobacco products from 1 January 2015, a government official told Prime news agency.

“Once the exclusive right of the state to import fish, alcohol, and tobacco products is cancelled, the institution of special importers of these products will be abolished naturally,” said the agency’s interlocutor.
