Parliament in Singapore approved a display ban

Parliament approved a display ban for tobacco products in most retail outlets beginning next year, The Straits Times reported

Products that must be removed from view include cigarettes, cigars, beedis and loose tobacco leaves. Tobacconists will be allowed to display product as long as it is not visible from outside, the newspaper said on its website. Duty-free sales currently are exempt.
