Sokolniki was full of vapour on 24 and 25 June. Vapexpo Moscow, an exhibition of and conference on electronic inhalers, was held there for the third time.
A cloud contest and a vape tricks battle were held on the main stage of the event. The best cloud chasers were given cool sets of vaping accessories. The winners in the cloud contest were picked by representatives of VAPE BUNKER, Pro Vape, and the VapeRussia and Viva la Cloud websites. Ilnar Abdullin “piled” best, so he got valuable prizes from the organisers of the event. He managed to blow the biggest clouds of vapour and really surprise the jury. Ilya Makurin and Andrey Trofimov took second and third places, respectively. The spectacular Vape Tricks Battle gathered all who know how to blow rich rings and jellyfish. The contenders were evaluated by Basta (Par Kultury, www.parkult.com), Vape Mechanic, VIVA la Cloud, and Babylonvape. Nikita Ilyin of the CLOUDFUCKERS team became the winner. Daniyl Dubyaga and Lev Ramatsina took second and third places. The winners got Vape Mechanic mods and liquids provided by the jury companies.
There was parallel activity at the exhibitors’ stands. Besides tasting, there were body art shows and sampling of e-liquids. At the end of the exhibition, visitors chose the best stand: the most conceptual and involving one. It was Par Kultury.
The conference continued for two days too. The first day was dedicated to analysis and general trends. The participants discussed interaction between manufacturers of vapour products and tobacco companies; quality assurance methods for vaping systems; and the specifics and problems of the Russian market for e-liquids. On both days the conference began with presentations given by Chris Dodge, President of the Global Vaping Association. The second day was dedicated to practical advice and particular cases. Chris Dodge told manufacturers and sellers of vapour products about successful promotion in the market. The founder of ESIGA Group, Yevgeny Safronov, discussed a case of creating a successful company manufacturing e-liquids. Andrey Khovan of Vaperussia spoke about how manufacturers of e-liquids are to operate in the Russian market solving supply chain problems, including irregular supply of components.
