InterTabac remains the leading trade fair in the industry
11,700 visitors, many from foreign countries
Exhibitors and visitors highly satisfied
InterSupply continues to successfully grow
Dortmund (AWe) – “InterTabac was once again the meeting place for the international tobacco industry and InterSupply has successfully developed.”That is how Sabine Loos, CEO of Westfalenhallen Dortmund GmbH, summed up the three trade fair days. A total of 11,700 international trade visitors (FKM certified1) visited Messe Westfalenhallen Dortmund from 16 to 18 September. The number of visitors from foreign countries was again remarkably high, as was satisfaction among visitors and exhibitors. InterTabac remains the world’s largest trade fair of its kind and the leading trade fair for the industry.
Products groups that trade visitors found particularly interesting this year included cigars, cigarillos and cigarettes, smoking accessories, e-cigarettes and e-shishas, fine-cut tobacco, and cigarette paper. This was the result of a visitor survey conducted by an independent trade fair market research institute. Trade visitors rated the range of offerings of the 521 exhibitors – 442 of which exhibited at InterTabac – as “good”.
At InterSupply, visitors were especially interested in raw tobacco, packaging, flavours, additives, and machines for manufacturing tobacco products. This new trade fair grows more and more each year. While the number of exhibitors had already increased to 79 in comparison to the previous year, this year nearly half of all InterTabac visitors stopped by at InterSupply as well.
